Because it locks in place, it allows the user to do other things while the oil or grease drain into it without having to hold it in place. It covers the wheel area below the axle and as such eliminates the need for cleaning spills on wheels and surrounding area.

It is easily removable from the wheel by using the built in handles on each side. It is flat on the bottom so it won't tip over on bench or floor. It has two built in drip proof spouts for easy waste disposal.
